Lobelia Court

The design scope included heightened walls, additional bedroom/master suite, dual car space and functional living spaces, natural light and ventilation, plus maintaining a modern, attractive façade, we were able to tick all the boxes on paper, so onto construction we went.

The walls were raised from 2400mm to 2800mm creating spacious feel. A scissor truss system was factored in to provide a raked ceiling to the rear patio adding to the spacious feel. With the use of large window openings and louvres, plus sizeable external doors with crimsafe screens, we were able to guarantee amazing cross flow ventilation when preferred, over the split system air-conditioning throughout, whilst maintain beautiful natural light throughout all areas of this home.

We used a mixture of concrete masonry block construction and light weight construction, to add a nice contrasting feature to the façade. Utilising Cemintel ‘Edge Cladding’ panelling to feature walls and gable ends, plus smooth rockcote rendered CMB walls, we were able to produce a nice modern coastal feel. Internally we opted for tall internal door openings, vinyl plank flooring, light coloured joinery/stone and timber look benchtops, plus beautifully tiled bathrooms and splashbacks, we were able to continue the modern coastal feel throughout. Clean lines of the black aluminium framed glazing throughout have also added a touch of sophistication.
