We are proud to present this beautiful custom built 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom home, positioned on the banks of the mighty Barron River in the pristine Kuranda rainforest. This off-grid, heritage style home is definitely one of a kind!
We were approached by our client in late 2018, with a particular style in mind. Heritage external features, with modern contemporary internal finishing’s. Our building designer hit the nail on the head and planning was well underway.
We were forced to face several obstacles throughout the build process, with the quantity of rain endured across the FNQ region mid-year. The banks of the Barron River were basically non-existent and our only access to the site, a small causeway was swallowed up and access was impossible for several weeks! We managed to re-gather momentum when the causeway became visible, and all parties are extremely happy with the final product! Just have a look at those beautiful lime-washed New England Blackbutt floors and the 130m2 of external verandas, with stunning rainforest views to match!!!
